We invited Short Farm neighbors and the community of Franklin for a week-long public charrette held April 27 – May 2, 2023. A charrette is a multi-day public workshop and participatory process where all members of a community work directly with a multidisciplinary design team, including town planners, architects, illustrators, and engineers to define a collective vision for the future and create a conservation strategy and neighborhood master plan for the property. Presentations, technical meetings, hands-on work sessions and a pop-up design studio were all open to the public.
